A SIMPLE GUIDE

You know your business.
We help you put it into a plan.

You do not need financial statements to begin. A rough idea of your sales, main expenses and investment goal is enough to get started.

1. Apply and check your status

Sign in with ChatGPT, then enter your business name, contact details, location and what you want help with. An administrator reviews your application. Return to My workspace to check the decision or provide more information. No email notification is sent automatically.

2. Answer five short sections

Your business, your customers, your money, your next investment and your plan. Move between sections whenever you need. Answers save automatically; wait for “Saved” before closing the page.

3. Choose how to estimate your sales

Enter a monthly amount you know, multiply customers by their average purchase, or multiply items/jobs by their price. Choose one method. The alternatives describe the same sales and should not be added together.

4. Add the costs you actually pay

Include stock or materials, rent, salaries, electricity and generator fuel, transport and other expenses. Use the batch calculator if it is easier to work out the cost of making several items together. Do not enter the same wages or materials twice.

5. Leave unknown amounts blank

A blank amount means “not estimated yet.” Enter 0 only if there is no cost. Add a note explaining your estimate. Select “Based on records” when you used a notebook or receipt; this does not mean the figure was independently verified.

6. Check the cash, not only the sales

If customers pay later, use the customer-payments option. Money taken home and loan repayments reduce available cash. The operating surplus shown is before tax, depreciation and financing costs; it is not net profit.

7. Plan the whole investment

Include the equipment, delivery, installation, initial stock and cash for early bills. Enter the cash you can contribute and other confirmed funding. Use actual lender terms when exploring repayments. Estimates are illustrations, not loan offers.

8. Ask for help and review

The Business Coach helps with customers, operations and next steps. The Financial Analyst explains your numbers. AI suggestions do not change your answers. Check any suggestion before editing the form. If AI is unavailable, calculators and standard documents remain usable.

9. Work with a human coach

An administrator can assign a coach who has signed in. You control coach access in your workspace. Your coach can help edit answers and leave notes. Uploaded PDFs or photos support this review; they are not automatically read or verified by AI.

10. Download a consistent set of documents

Save a document version, then download the business plan, investment brief, pitch deck or financial workbook. You can print the plan to PDF using your browser. Drafts identify missing information. Confirm your figures before sharing a package with a lender or investor.

What to have nearby
Your sales notebook, main monthly bills, any equipment quotation and the amount you can contribute. You can add these later.
