The latest implementation review covers Al-Dhafaf, Al-Abbasiya and Al-Karkh; commissioning dates and contract values were not disclosed.

Three 400 kV substations form the scope of a progress review between Siemens and the General Company for Electricity Transmission in the Middle Euphrates, according to a Ministry of Electricity account reported by Iraq Business News on 9 October. The sites are Al-Dhafaf in Karbala, Al-Abbasiya in Najaf and Al-Karkh in Baghdad.

The report places this work under Phase Two of a cooperation principles agreement. Participants, including the German loan management team, compared implementation with contractual schedules. It gives no completion percentages, energisation dates or financing amounts.

The disclosed activity concerns delivery of existing grid projects. It does not announce a new contract award or an open equipment tender.
