Karbala adds a solar-module manufacturing line

Ecoprogetti supplied the line for the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine’s engineering department; reported annual manufacturing capacity exceeds 200 MW.

A Karbala solar-module factory inaugurated in June uses a production line supplied by Italy’s Ecoprogetti, according to pv magazine’s 22 July report and supplier interview.

The disclosed line serves the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine’s engineering department. Its reported annual manufacturing capacity exceeds 200 MW, with a larger expansion envisaged.

Manufacturing capacity measures potential module output, not electricity generation. Actual annual production and a completed expansion were not established in the reviewed report.
