Reuters reported that Kpler’s provisional seven-day average for regional crude exports reached 18.3 million barrels a day on 30 September, above its roughly 18 million pre-war baseline. The report also described tanker-attack reports and logistical constraints around the Strait of Hormuz.
The estimate measures a regional flow over a short window. It cannot establish Iraq’s own monthly exports or revenue. For Iraqi sales, the useful comparison would pair confirmed loading volumes with the prices and delivery costs of those cargoes. Higher regional shipments alone do not show that passage has become safer or transport cheaper.
