EIA records US crude imports from Iraq at 17,000 barrels a day in June

The monthly series shows lower US-bound volumes; it is not a measure of Iraq’s total oil exports.

US crude-oil imports from Iraq averaged 17,000 barrels a day in June 2026, according to the Energy Information Administration’s monthly country-of-origin table reviewed on 4 October.

The table records 254,000 barrels a day in February, 194,000 in March, 108,000 in April and 71,000 in May. Values are monthly daily averages, reported in thousands of barrels a day.

This series measures deliveries to the United States, rather than Iraq’s exports to all destinations. The July Iraq cell was blank in the reviewed table and should not be treated as zero. These lagged monthly observations do not establish October shipping conditions or the cause of the change.
